*T.G.I.S. (Thank God It's Sonday) is our contemporary worship service which seeks to combine joyful, Spirit-filled worship with the rich traditions of Anglican worship, and is led primarily by our young adult community.

Introducing Our New Rector! |
|
We are thrilled to announce that The Reverend Kevin Warner has accepted our
call to be the Rector of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church! He comes to us
from Advent Episcopal Church in West Bloomfield, MI. His first Sunday will
be September 6th. For more information about our wonderful new Rector and

We would like to thank our Calling Committee for all of their hard work and
dedication to this process, especially our two co-Chairs, Ray Henson and
Grant Bening. We also thank Father David Montzingo, St. Dunstan's Vestry,
staff and parishioners, as well as Canon Jenny Vervynck and Bishop Mathes for
their support. Singular thanks go to our Interim Rector, Father Tom
Phillips, for his leadership and devotion to this parish during our
transition. Ultimately, thanks be to God for all of His good gifts before,
during, and after this process, and especially for bringing us Fr. Kevin and
his wife Sue!

HOW TO SHARE YOUR FAITH IN 101 WORDS OR LESS
A number of young people came over from the local high
school to complete a history assignment. They wanted me to tell them about Christian Faith and the history of
Christianity. I asked them to come into
the library and we could talk. "Actually," they said, "Couldn't you just do it in a couple of minutes?
You know, the 90 words or less thing."
I
can't even tell you my name in less than 90 words! What a challenge.
I
ransacked my brain, trying to find some sort of outline to give them. The history part was easy. The content of the faith was the part I
wanted to get right.
I
rehearsed mentally the opening words of our Communion Service. "Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
and blessed be his kingdom, now and forever."
That's the faith I wanted to communicate. This is what I said:
